I am writing to enquire about how I may go about getting talented ten-year-old singer, guitar player Jackson Capps on your show. Jackson, from Trussville, Alabama, has been honing his talents and performing for two years. His play list consists of songs by the likes of country artists Jason Aldean, Johnny Cash, the Delmore Brothers, Merle Haggard, George Hamilton IV, Robert Earl Keen, George Strait, and Hank Williams, Sr.; rock and roll artists Chuck Berry, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Buddy Holly, Kansas, Roy Orbison, Steve Perry, Tom Petty, Elvis Presley, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Van Morrison; rockabilly artist Gene Vincent; and soul artist Otis Redding…. Although his smooth sound is a combination of country, rockabilly, and southern rock, he can “bend those strings ‘til the Hank comes out.”

Jackson has gained experience and notoriety as a musician playing gigs throughout the South for the past two years. He has played numerous shows in Orange Beach, Alabama: Happy Harbor, San Roc Cay, Northshore Grill, Harbor Docks, The Landing…. He has also played in Perdido Key, Florida at the Silver Moon and at the Flora-Bama Mullet Toss Festival for a standing-room-only crowd. Jackson has also appeared in Nashville, Tennessee on Lower Broadway at the World Famous Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge and at Robert’s Western World. His most recent appearances were in Hoover, Alabama at Moonlight on the Mountain and in Mobile, Alabama at The Blue Gill. Jackson will be playing at the Clay Senior Center in Clay, Alabama on March 11; the Perdido Festival in Perdido Key, Florida on March 26; the Dog Daze Festival in Trussville, Alabama on May 14; the Hank Williams Festival in Georgiana, Alabama on May 20-21; and Escambia High School in Pensacola, Florida at a date to be announced sometime this spring, where he will perform in front of the faculty, staff and students.

Not only has Jackson developed as a singer, but he has also developed a unique guitar style and sound. Whether he is playing a twangy, honky tonk medley on his vintage Fender Telecaster, a catchy blues tune on his Les Paul Gibson, or creating a smooth country groove on his J-45 Gibson, his talent has allowed him to become an excellent entertainer and crowd favorite. He is the true “little dark-haired boy who [plays] the Tennessee flat-top box.”

I am including a Youtube link of a recent talent show Jackson won in Trussville, Alabama: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bw3SMAH8tvw.

Thank you for your time and consideration. If you need any more information, I will be more than happy to send it.

Sincerely,

Tonya Capps

When will the show that was taped @ the Temple in Meridian, that the “Original Rolingstones” played on be shown on TV? I think it was taped in April of this year.

3

Due to the editing process, the television show may mix and match performances from various live shows to craft the finished product that you see on television. MPB edits the shows independently after Jacky Jack White has approved the material. Each week, MPB Online tries to announce who will be on the next broadcast.
